Topic: xml Slideshow 2.1 update

The slideshow has received an update!  If you purchased the slideshow in the past, you should have received an update email with the updated files.  If you have not received your update email, use the contact form to send and email with your transaction id and you will get the free update.

Here's what's new in this version:
Add music - now you can specify a .mp3 file to play in the background of the slideshow.  You can display a sound on/off button in the navigation or hide it.  You can specify if you want the music to loop, and the volume.

Add watermark - You can now specify an external image or .swf flash file to be loaded on top of the slideshow.  You can specify the watermark's opacity and a link if you want it to be clickable.

Transition handling - Some issues with transitions have been fixed.  Fades now cross-face, so if you have different size images, the image in the back will fade out, as the one on top is fading in.  All images now have their own background, so they will cover the image behind it, if the images are not all the same size.

Caption location - You can now set vertical location of captions.  You can also choose to have the captions attached to the image, so if the images are not the same size as the slideshow, you can have the captions appear on the image only or across the entire slideshow.

Image placement - You can now choose to have the images cropped to fill the entire space of the slideshow, or scaled down to show the entire image.  You can also specify a margin around the images.

As always, your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Re: xml Slideshow 2.1 update

Additional updates have been made as of 10/29/07

Caption positioning issues have been addressed.
Image scaling has been enhanced.  Slideshow will no longer support the cropImages attribute, although leaving it in will not hurt.  The new attribute to control image scaling is imageScaling, which accepts the following values:

fit - scales image proportionately to fit the slideshow area
fill - scales image up or down to proportionately fill slideshow area
stretch - stretches imges to fill slideshow area
none - no scaling is applied.
