Topic: Can't make new guestbook.php

Hi I wonder if you could help me.

I have downloaded your trial version with a view to buy this and a few other products if it works ok.

I have created a directory called guestbookdir and uploaded all your files as instructed.

Now if I go to http://www.thegtb.co.uk/guestbookdir/guestbook.html the program works fine.

What I need though is a guestbook.php but when I create one and copy the html over as seen on this page http://www.thegtb.co.uk/guestbook.php I just get the Oops error.

I need the page to be php (In fact I thought it was going to be) because I use includes in my site.

I was hoping that you could help me.

You are getting the oops message because the page is not finding flashdetect.phtOUt is in your guestbook directory.  You should add a reference to it in the head of your HTML page, same as the example guestbook.php

My apologies but I am not sure I understand.

There was no example guestbook.php in the file I downloaded, only a guestbook.html.

Is there any chance you could give me an example of what to type in as a reference, I may be able to figure it out from there.

If it helps, all the files that I downloaded from you are now in a folder called guestbookdir.

Not sure what you mean by flashdetect.phtOUt

I assume that is a typo and is meant to be flashdetect.js

If you have PHP's SAFE_MODE ON and you cannot change to Off then you have to create the user specific file folders manually.

Inside phpwcms_filestorage create as many directories like you have users. Each dir has to be named like user's ID: the ID is only an integer beginning with Number 1 and so on...

The problem is: when you create a dir in php safe_mode on it will get user wwwrun - but you do not have permissions for user wwwrun ;-)
